Troy-Bilt’s FLEX conquers all of the seasons and power washes too

Troy-Bilt has announced a new addition to its popular line of outdoor equipment that takes on every season of the year. Unlike before, when homeowners had to maintain both a lawn mower, leaf and snow blower, Troy-Bilt is out to simplify your equipment needs. Like STIHL, which has championed the multi-task tool marketplace for years, Troy-Bilt is bringing the same idea on a larger scale that is fully customizable for your needs. Just wait until you see what it can do.

As we all know, lawn equipment is expensive and can quickly take up a lot of room in your garage or storage area. While Troy-Bilt is not helping much with size, it is aiming to simplify every thing you need into one device. The FLEX is built around a base unit that features a 208-cubic-centimeter, over-head valve engine that can function in all types of the weather throughout the year. Additionally, it has a gear-drive transmission and adjustable height to help conquer any job.

The engine powers the wide variety of attachments that hook into the main section, which runs $400 for the unit itself. From there, customers are able to customize their FLEX based on the needs of their home and climate. The snow-blower runs $400 and looks much like other popular models out there – Consumer Reports notes that you’ll want to work lightly with the controls with this attachment, as it is plenty powerful.

As expected, the FLEX can mow your lawn as well. Running $500, the walk-behind mower is capable of cutting grass at a variety of heights ranging from one to four inches and can handle mulching duties as well.

There are some other attachments as well that don’t run as high in the price department: the leaf blower comes in at $280 and is based off of other Troy-Bilt blowers that Consumer Reports highly recommends. Finally, the pressure washers will set you back the same $280 and packs a maximum psi-output of 2,800 and includes five quick-disconnect spray nozzles as well as a 40-foot hose.

All of the attachments include a two-year warranty, while the main unit is covered for four years. The Troy-Bilt FLEX is slated to be available in March of 2015.
