Apple’s high-end 5K iMac w/ 1TB Fusion Drive drops to $2,100 or $2,050 for anyone w/ .edu email (Reg. $2,299)

Earlier this week Apple released a new entry-level 5K iMac and dropped the price of the high-end model from $2,499 to $2,299. That’s a sizable cut in its own right, but now Best Buy is one-upping the Cupertino tech giant:

As part of its 4-day Memorial Day Sale, Best Buy offers the top-of-the-line standard configuration (MF886LL/A) 5K iMac for just $2,099.99.

Additionally, anyone with access to a .edu email address get a coupon to save another $50, dropping the final price down to $2,049.99. That’s only a $50-$100 up charge over the basic model.
