GameStop will be taking in-store preorders for Wave 6 retro 3-pack amiibo this weekend. Beginning at 9AM (or one hour before your local store’s opening time) on Saturday, August 8, amiibo hunters will be able to reserve R.O.B., Mr. Game & Watch, and the Duck Hunt dog with a $5 down minimum. Pre-orders are first come, first served, one pack per customer, and quantities are expected to be limited. This announcement comes on the heels of the release of Amazon-exclusive Palutena on July 27 and Best Buy-exclusive Dark Pit on July 31. The rest of Wave 6—Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf, Dr. Mario, Bowser Jr., and more —are expected to hit shelves in September. According to Nintendo, two versions of the 30th Anniversary Mario edition amiibos (classic and modern) will also make an appearance.
