Update (9/16 4:15pm): LA and Orange County Prime Now customers can get $20 off  purchases of $50 or more right now using code LATRYNOW

We have some interesting announcements from Amazon for its Prime members today. An extended free trial of the Washington Post is now available and the Sex and the City gang will be making a return on Amazon’s streaming service, as southern California residents get access to the company’s one-hour delivery:

The Washington Posts monthly digital subscription normally costs $9.99, but now Amazon Prime members will get free access for 6 months, plus a sweet discount from there on. After that, the digital access will only cost $3.99 a month, which is about a 60% savings over the usual asking price. Prime members can access the digital version on the The Washington Post’s national app for iOS, Android and Amazon Fire or in the browser at the official site. Alternatively, Prime members can also use their Amazon login details to access the free 6 month trial right here.

Next up, Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes will be making their triumphant return as Amazon is now offering its Prime members the entire series of Sex and the City at no additional charge. Starting today, members can stream all six seasons in the Amazon Video app or online. The entire series is also available for download on iOS, Android and Kindle Fire devices for offline viewing.

Sex and the City became one of the most popular shows on TV over its six season run, and we are excited today to give our Prime members access to every episode to watch anytime, anywhere as part of their membership…”

Lastly, Amazon one-hour delivery service Prime Now is being expanded through southern California. Already available in 12 other cities worldwide, the company is setting up shop in Los Angeles and Orange County to offer its speedy delivery services from Santa Monica to Silver Lake and more. Along with partnerships with local grocers, Amazon has setup 4 new Prime Now hubs offering “paper towels, chilled and frozen items like milk and ice cream, and televisions and Kindle devices.” The service offers free two hour delivery (or one hour for $7.99) on thousands of items found in the Prime Now app for iOS and Android devices. In LA, the service is available from 8am to midnight seven days a week.

On top of the aforementioned perks, Prime members also get “more than one million songs, more than a thousand playlists and hundreds of stations through Prime Music, unlimited Free Two-Day Shipping on millions of items, early access to select Lightning Deals, unlimited photo storage with Amazon Photos, and access to borrow from more than 800,000 books for Kindle owners–all for $99 a year.”
