Infento’s Constructible Rides are a K’NEX-like bicycle system that grows with your kid

Instilling a creative imagination in a child is one of the greatest gifts you can give. Toys such as LEGO and K’NEX have created generations of ingenious minds that have created some of the coolest products later in life. A new Kickstarter campaign desires to bring that same level curiosity to a larger scale.

Infento is a project that delivers all the parts and tools for children to build their own bicycles, tricycles, snow gliders and more. The coolest part of the product is its ability to evolve over time as kids grow and have different needs. Best of all, it’s entirely put together by a simple hex key tool. Having raised nearly five times its goal, there is a clearly a lot of interest for this product to reach the market.

The Infento system uses square modular pieces that can adjust in length and angle to create different means of transportation. Each square tube has a notch that runs the length of the piece, this cutout enables different parts such as wheels or seats to slide up and down. In turn, a single segment can be used over and over again to build a new ride.

A junior Kit is available for $299, it has everything needed to create six different rides. Designed for ages 0-5, this kit will yield a wagon, four different cycles and a scooter. The larger Creator Kit has ten designs all together and carries a $499 price tag. This bundle adds many more options for larger children. The free ride biker looks just like a traditional bicycle, while two trikes and an additional scooter are added as well. Finally, the $599 Master Creator Kit offers twelve rides including a recumbent tricycle, larger bikes and more.

The two larger kits offer additional pieces that will allow children to create customizable designs outside of the plans shown in the campaign. Infento also has two snow add-on kits for $80 and $150 that will allow many of the designs to be tweaked for use during the winter. Designs include a tri-sled and snowboard that each have a seat. Both of which are cooler than any of the sledding options that I had as a kid. Even better, the snow add-on kits are rated for adults as well.

Additionally, there is an electric motor add-on that turns many of these kits into e-rides. It simply slides on the rail and adds power to the existing chain system. It’s fair to assume that Infento will continue to evolve its line-up once its products are released to the public. By using a modular system in the beginning, it will be easy for Infento to develop more add-ons that should work with existing kits.

As of now, Infento has raised $241,000 or just under five times its original $50,000 goal. The fit and finish of the entire line looks top-notch, so it’s no surprise that the campaign has found success. There are 13 days left to back this campaign and Infento’s Constructible Ride Kit will ship in January.
