I’ve owned a Mohu for years and use it to get local channels on our HDTV in our bedroom. It takes all of 2 minutes to set up (frustration free packaging!) and with black and white colors blends into most environments. TV stations within 30 miles are indistinguishable from cable. This model retails for $50 and has never been below $30 before.
Even if you do want to keep your cable TV service, it is nice to have a backup in case your cable goes out during an important event like the Superbowl. Or maybe you want to plop a TV somewhere in your house that doesn’t have cable connection and be up and running immediately.
