Check out Japan’s version of the NES Classic transformed into a working Game Boy [Video]

Following the enormous success of the shrunken down NES Classic (still out of stock by the way), some modders at the Kei Studio have been able to squeeze the Famicom Mini into an old Game Boy Red case. Just like the NES Classic Edition, this new mod only comes with 30 games pre-installed and it won’t actually play Game Boy games.

The folks at Kei Studio have previously worked on a portable PlayStation 2 and made other attempts at shrinking down consoles. You can take a look at the system in the video below. They’ve dubbed their mod the Famicom Pocket.

Japanese version of popular NES Classic Edition, it is Nintendo Classic Mini FAMILY COMPUTER. This game machine is a remodeled machine that installed “Mini FAMICOM” in the Game Boy. Its name is “FAMICOM POCKET”. As it is, I made the smaller “Mini FAMICOM” to unite peripheral devices and made it even smaller! It corresponds to 2 players, we can enjoy “Mini FAMICOM” anytime anywhere! It is pleasant that being official. But after all, the screen is small. It looks like a child’s toy.
