Lego Life was unveiled this week as a safe (and fun) way for kids to share their creations with other builders under the age of 13. Sure, there are plenty of communities on Reddit and the like for sharing your creations, but its not always the safest place for children. LEGO solves this issue in a few ways. First of which is by creating random user names and kid-friendly emojis for communicating.

This new social network takes the idea of Instagram and adds a bit of LEGO flair. There are strict guidelines for comments and each avatar is a customizable minifig. Of course, each post can be liked as you’d expect. Ads are limited to LEGO sets and most of the data from the brand’s other apps can be uploaded and shared. Lego Life is now available on iOS and Android for free.
