iPhone X has a great camera, but bitplay aims to improve it w/ the SNAP! collection

When it comes to smartphone photography, there are a few leaders, and iPhone X is definitely one of them. I love my iPhone X when it comes to taking photos on the go, but there are times when I wish I had a slightly different perspective. That’s where camera cases come in, and bitplay just released its SNAP! lens system for the iPhone X.

There are several lens options available for bitplay, as well as various grips. One aspect that I really like about the bitplay SNAP! series is that its lenses can mount to either iPhone lens. Because the iPhone X has two lenses built-in, one for normal shots and one for telephoto, having the ability to add bitplay’s offerings to either really broadens your horizons.

Just think, if you take the telephoto lens on your iPhone X, and add bitplay’s telephoto lens (which offers 2x optical zoom), you’re going to get insane zooming abilities. Check the gallery below for a sample of a normal iPhone X shot, an iPhone X shot with bitplay telephoto, and then an iPhone X telephoto with bitplay’s telephoto added. The zoom range is crazy, and something that I think could come in handy for a lot of customers out there.

bitplay also offers several other lenses, like fisheye+macro, fisheye+full frame, ultrawide, regular wide angle, and more. There are also plenty of grips to choose from, with the built-in silicone grip or an add-on wooden grip to give your iPhone X more of a real-camera feel.

There is also a patented physical shutter button on the bitplay SNAP! case, giving you more of a DSLR feel without carrying around your heavy standalone camera. This is another feature that I really like about this new bitplay SNAP! line, because when using other ‘camera cases’ for phones, you still have to awkwardly reach around and tap the shutter button on your phone. That’s not a normal action when using heavy lenses like a DSLR has, because people are so used to physical shutter buttons, so this is a very welcomed addition.

The bitplay SNAP! series for iPhone X also comes in a variety of colors, from Khaki Green to Noir Black, there’s a case for every occasion. It also looks to be a fairly protective case against drops as well, where as most offerings in this space are very slim cases that do not feature much drop protection.

The bitplay SNAP! case starts at $43.99 for the iPhone X, and lenses start at around $29.99 for basic and $99.99 for premium. There are bundles, like this one, that you can purchase which give you the case and lens at a discounted price.

Head on over to bitplay’s website for more information on all of the features, lenses, and accessories you can outfit your brand-new iPhone X with.
