Belkin brought home automation to the masses years ago with its WeMo lineup of app-connected switches and plugs. Today, the WeMo ecosystem is expanding to include Smart LED bulbs.
Just like standard LED bulbs, WeMo bulbs last longer (up to 23 years) and consume less energy (only 10 watts) than their out-dated incandescent counterparts. Each dimmable bulb is rated at 800 lumens and 3000 kelvins, which produces a “pleasing warm white light.”
WeMo bulbs easily install by screwing into existing lighting fixtures, but that’s not even the best part…
When connected to WeMO Link, smartphone and tablet users can “control, schedule, customize and dim household lighting from anywhere” with the WeMo app. Furthermore, this app makes it easy to unlock the full potential of connected home appliances:

If you’ve already invested in the Philips Hue lighting ecosystem, then you’ll want to forgo Belkin’s latest offering for Philips’ new white Lux bulbs, which are also $30 each. Philips Hue is also the best option for most people who demand control over millions of household lighting colors.
