Promise Technology Pegasus3 RAID storage w/ Thunderbolt 3 set to hit Apple Store today

Symply Inc. and Promise Technology are known for thier digital storage products, and more specifically, high-end RAID systems. Today the companies are announcing the availability of the new Pegasus3 SYMPLY EDITION RAID storage system with “lightning-fast” 40Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 pipelines and its SymplyGO storage management suite.

While certainly geared more toward professional content creators, the new system will come in 3 variants: Pegasus R4/6/8 with four, six and eight drives respectively. Along with compatibility right out of the box for Mac users (Windows is also supported), Pegasus3 will be capable of daisy changing as many as 6 devices together.

Just like the previous gen Pegasus2 systems, the new models should be up on the online Apple Store today. Although we are yet to see them appear just yet. Over at B&H, they are now available starting at $1,499.
