Parents obviously want the best for their kids and that means successfully preparing them for the future. Two:35, a San Diego computer company, wants to teach children a fundamental skill that will do just that. With its recently launched Kickstarter, the company hopes to gain funding for its Glo-Base 2 computer building kit for kids that can actually get them certified.
Computers and coding can be very intimidating and overwhelming, but careers in technology continue to grow at a rapid rate. Two:35 has developed a very simplified approach that will help take the complexity out of the hands of parents, with a simplistic method to build your own personal computer. The starting components have been strategically selected, with a step by step curriculum to understand the hardware parts of a computer.
The company has spent more than two years working with over 800 students locally, and have identified ways to close the gap with development of IT knowledge. Studies have shown, kids working with their hands have a higher retention rate of information and high engagement level.
Two:35 is providing a way to simplify putting together a computer by breaking down the six individual parts for each system. Once children learn to put the computers together, they are able to learn different types of software, gaming opportunities and more. The company guarantees the curriculum will teach the CompTIA A+ certification that’s used to be an IT professional.

The Glo-Base 2 computer building kit only takes about an hour to assemble, but once it’s together the leaning/fun doesn’t stop there! Students will also be able to expand their curriculum beyond gaming, 3D printing and more.
The campaign has only 21 days left and they need a lot of support to reach the funding goal of $50,000. A pledge of $500 will get you a pre-order of the Glo Base 2. That price provides all the components to build the Glo Base 2 and login access to Two:35’s learning software.
