LunaR is the “world’s first” solar-powered smartwatch that you can leave on indefinitely

One of the main hassles with wearables these days is always having to take them off to recharge. LunaR is the first solar-powered watch that doesn’t need to be taken off to refuel itself ever. It uses the power of the sun and natural lighting to constantly stay charged. Currently being funded on Kickstarter this new device hopes to be game changer in the smartwatch arena.

The LunaR watch has intelligent functions as well as a pretty good looking form, but most of all it features “breakthrough solar technology” that keeps it powered up at all times. It has been designed for just about anyone who needs to stay connected and on time but most importantly it doesn’t need to be plugged in to be recharged. It works to refuel in both solar and indoor (artificial) lighting and can stay powered up with as little as an hour of exposure each day.

LunaR doesn’t just have an impressive solar recharging system, it also has some regular functions as well to keep it in pace with other smartwatches on the market. For instance, It has activity tracking, dual time zones settings, sunrise/sunset tracking, sleep monitoring, smartphone notifications, alarms and it’s waterproof too.

The team behind LunaR has worked hard crafting the best watch to harvest the rays of the sun at the highest levels. There have been many prototypes that were tested, refined and then redesigned to finally reach a finished product that they have today.

Just like the LunaR smartwatch, humans run on sunshine too. Our bodies need Vitamin D we get from the Sun to build strong bones and maintain a healthy immune system. There have even been countless studies linking exposure to the sun to reduce the risk of depression, multiple sclerosis, and even more chronic ailments. With LunaR you can set your own daily sunshine exposure goals to make sure you get enough sun each day. The LunaR app can help you keep track of your progress.

With only 13 days left in its campaign, LunaR has already secured its funding goal of $50,000 by more than four times that amount. If you’re interested in owning a LunaR you can pledge $138 or more to secure one from the current special. That’s about $100 off the expected retail price and if all goes as planned, shipping is expected to begin in December of this year.
