Luminoodle Task is a LED light that flexes and sticks wherever you need it

If you’re like me, you often work where there’s no light. I’m always helping a friend with their car, working on my own, or just in general where I need light and it’s not there. Normally, when in those positions, there’s not a good place to put a light, either. That’s where the latest from Luminoodle comes into play. The Luminoodle Task is a flexible LED lighting strip that goes where you need it. With the Luminoodle Task, you can easily wrap light around a tree, bend it around a support post, or magnetize it to the hood of your car at night. The uses for Luminoodle Task are endless, and it starts at just $44.

This flexible light comes in 3 flavors: Luminoodle Task USBLuminoodle Task, and Luminoodle Task Link. The first is a USB powered 2-foot long light that outputs 1,000 Lumens. This smaller USB powered light is perfect for camping trips or keeping in the car as it’s easy to power. You don’t need to keep the light at 1,000 Lumens though, as it can dim all the way down to just 75. This means no matter how much light you need, a USB battery bank could easily power this light for hours on end no matter where you are.

The Luminoodle Task is the larger version of the Luminoodle Task USB. This light is 5-feet long and can output up to 3,600 Lumens. At the lowest brightness setting, you get 180 Lumens of brightness. The Task needs a special 12V power source though, so you can’t just use a USB battery bank. When you buy the base kit for the Luminoodle Task, you just get a 110-240V wall adapter and a 12V car/boat adapter. Meaning, you’ll need to be near a wall outlet to use it. For $45 more, however, Luminoodle has the Pronto 12V battery that can power the Luminoodle Task (and Luminoodle Link) without being plugged into the wall.

If you want a little bit more flexibility than the regular Luminoodle gives, you can get the Luminoodle Link. This version features 3 2-foot long segments and is daisy-chainable. With this light, you can put any of the 3 2-foot long sections where ever you need and just run the cord between. This is perfect if you’ve got a few different spots you need light and would rather have it sectioned off verses all in one place.

The Luminoodle Task USB starts at $44, Task at $119, and Task Link at $169. Shipping is estimated to start in May of 2018, but from the looks of it will be worth the wait. You can head on over to the Kickstarter to see all pledge options. With 13 days left, Luminoodle Task has already raised almost 300% of their initial goal.
