Pad & Quill intros the 'world’s first handmade all-leather iPhone X bumper case'

Much to our delight, we recently had a chance to go hands-on with the new Pad & Quill Bella Fino iPhone X Wallet Case. The company’s dedication to craftsmanship and quality textiles is certainly front and center with its latest generation of iPhone X covers. While we didn’t expect to see any additions to the lineup until early 2018, the folks at P&Q are finally ready to reveal the new highly-stylized Traveler Leather Bumper Case after 3-years of prototypes and development.

While that may seem like a long time for any smartphone case, the Traveler has a little more to it than your typical cover from the family owned business. Inspired by their father’s vintage leather coin pouch, the new case is Pad & Quill’s way of bringing a personal family heirloom to everyone.

It had so much history and memory attached to it because my Dad was a very generous man who carried it everywhere and handed out coins to strangers on the street and sometimes to me too, to get ice cream. As I looked over it, what stood out to me was how I loved the walled leather construction it had, so I set out to use that idea at Pad & Quill in an all-new iPhone case unlike anything else out there.

This is also apparently the “world’s first handmade all-leather iPhone X bumper case”, according to Pad & Quill. And, as expected, it features the usual full grain leather “that ages like fine whisky” and that fantastic 25-year P&Q warranty. As with all of the latest gen Pad & Quill cases, the new Traveler Leather Bumper Case is 100% wireless charging friendly and leaves all of the ports and buttons on the phone easily accessible.

Clearly, the stand out element to the case is the UV-resistant nylon stitching surrounding the outer edge. Not only does it look nice, but it also features a “secure tension-fit” that almost molds to your phone. You can see in the image below how P&Q pulled from the design cues on the vintage coin pouch:
