AOC announces its latest 35-inch 1440p curved UltraWide monitor w/ G-SYNC

Displays are constantly getting higher quality panels, faster refresh rates, and it seems that they are always growing. AOC just announced its latest monitor, which features a 35-inch UltraWide screen, 1800R curve, 1440p resolution, 120Hz G-Sync, and more. Read on to find out if this should be your next battle station upgrade.

We love UltraWide monitors around here. If you look at Jordan’s Behind the Screens from this weekend, you’ll see that this style of monitors find a home at many of our desks.

Today, AOC announced its latest UltraWide monitor. This new display is 35-inches wide, has an aspect ratio of 21:9, and a resolution of 3440×1440. With DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB 3.0 ports, this monitor has just about any connection you could imagine.

Built-in speakers also find a home in AOC’s latest AGON gaming monitor. One of my favorite features from this monitor, however, is that it’s 120Hz G-SYNC compatible. This means that, for those with NVIDIA graphics cards, this monitor will play games buttery-smooth at 120FPS (on systems that can support it).

It’s been hard to find good high-end monitors at 3440×1440 with 120Hz G-SYNC support. One reason for this is that G-SYNC is a more expensive technology to implement than FreeSync from AMD and that most people just don’t want to spend the extra cash for it.

In my opinion, if you have a system capable of running 21:9 1440p games at 120Hz, a G-SYNC monitor is a must. If you’re wondering what this G-SYNC is, it’s a proprietary technology that NVIDIA uses to synchronize the refresh rate of the monitor to the maximum performance your computer can handle, minimizing tearing and giving a better quality image overall.

This monitor also includes AOC’s FlickerFree technology and LowBlue Mode. Both of these features are designed to give you a better viewing experience regardless of the system used with this monitor.

One thing many might not think about when it comes to an UltraWide monitor is curvature. I’ve used non-curved and curved versions, and the 1800R curve really helps. When you’re already looking at a monitor that’s quite a bit wider than normal offerings, a slight curve can help keep from having to turn your head as much.

The AOC AGON AG352UCG6 is available to purchase today from Amazon for $899.
