Start your podcast empire w/ PreSonus’ Ultimate Studio Bundle for under $300, more

PreSonus is one of those music production gear companies that offers up some great gear at very affordable price tags. It just recently debuted the latest version of its FaderPort controllers and has now issued a new podcasting/home recording bundle. The new package brings together just about everything one might need to get their YouTube media empire off the ground for under $300.

We all know audio gear can be very expensive, but these days with companies like PreSonus and IK Multimedia offering high quality gear at relatively reasonable price tags, starting your podcast doesn’t have to drain your bank account.

The new AudioBox Studio Ultimate Bundle comes with the mobile AudioBox USB 96 USB audio/MIDI interface for Mac/PC, the M7 professional studio microphone, avpair of Eris E3.5 monitor speakers and the HD7 headphones. All that plus a copy of the PreSonus Studio One 4 Artist production software for $299.95 shipped. And remember that interface will work with just about any DAW including Logic Pro X and Pro Tools, so you’re not locked-in to the PreSonus recording environment here.

The AudioBox is a bus-powered interface with a pair combo mic/instrument inputs, MIDI I/O and a 24-bit/96kHz recording resolution. In other words, more than enough to get the large-diaphragm M7 studio mic recording. The mic will work great on instruments but I think you’ll find it is best suited for podcasting or vocals.

Beyond that, you’ll be monitoring on a pair of Eris E3.5 speakers and the high-definition HD7 headphones. The speakers feature rear mounted quarter-inch TRS and RCA inputs as well as 1/8-inch stereo line inputs and a volume control on the front-side.

While it might not be the most sought after gear on the market, that $300 price tag is certainly enticing. Anyone just getting in to home recording or isn’t quite sure how that new YouTube show is going to go over, might want to take a look at this bundle simply for the price and sheer convenience of it all. Having said that, it is also smart to check out the price on the individual items before you purchase, as grabbing a smaller bundle and buying the speakers separately might be a slightly better value.

As we mentioned above, PreSonus also announced the updated version of its FaderPort USB controller. The $200 controller offers up discreet hardware controls for your DAW including basic transport features as well as a contextual, motorized fader control and more. It is available now. Here’s more specs for PreSonus:
