It’s been a few weeks since Nintendo finally debuted its Switch Online service. There’s been wide range of opinions, but many fans are flocking to the service to continue enjoying online play and indulge in some nostalgic NES gameplay.

Nintendo previously announced that it would be bringing three new titles to its roster of retro games. But this morning upon firing up the NES, players were greeted with a little something extra, a new version of The Legend of Zelda deemed Living the life of luxury! Head below for the full scoop.

Nintendo previously indicated that it’d be continually updating its selection of Switch Online NES titles. Three fan-favorites have been released this morning to the hybrid console: Solomon’s Key, NES Open Tournament Golf and Super Dodge Ball.

But in typical Nintendo fashion, they also introduced a new, souped-up way to enjoy arguably one of the most popular NES games of all-time. In the new The Legend of Zelda – Living the life of luxury! players will be able to take on all the challenges that Hyrule offers with a little help upfront.

Those diving into the game will start out with their inventories already filled with some highly desired items. No need to track down gear like the White Sword, Magical Shield and more. Oh and if that wasn’t enough, you also begin with your wallet filled 255 rupees.

Fight your way through all of the dungeons, octoroks and obstacles and another mode will be unlocked. Deemed Second Quest, it will offer a more difficult experience than offered by Living the life of luxury! Though there’s no telling yet how it will stack up to the original release.

The Legend of Zelda isn’t notorious for being overly difficult. But it is known for throwing players right into the middle things. Even though the title came out back in the late 1980’s, there’s still a lot to explore and unravel throughout the game.

So if you’re still up for a challenge and want to take on Ganon the old fashion way, the original version awaits. But for those interested in a unique new way to enjoy this is sure to delight many long-time fans of the series. Not to mention, introduce some newer ones brought in by Breath of the Wild, like myself.

I have yet to really dive into Switch Online’s catalog of NES titles. But re-releases that offer interesting takes on classic titles like this are definitely intriguing enough to try out. Let us know what you think of Nintendo’s new releases and Switch Online in the comments below.
