Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold 5 sees $200 off Amazon launch discount with $200 gift card

$400 off Shop now

Samsung today is officially taking the wraps off the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 today, and the savings are right behind. Courtesy of Amazon today, you can now score the all-new unlocked smartphone with a free storage upgrade for $1,799.99 shipped. That nets you the 512GB version for the same price as the entry-level 256GB capacity, saving you $200. Then Amazon is sweetening the pot by throwing in a $200 Amazon gift card, bringing your total savings up to $400 – all without having to trade in a device. It’s also worth noting that Samsung has its own launch discounts today that are worth a look, too.

Slated to begin shipping in August, the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 is the latest iteration of Samsung’s massive folding smartphone. In its current form, not all too much has changed. There is notably a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip now under the hood as well as Android 13 out of the box, but last year’s form-factor almost entirely remains. There’s still an interior 7.6-inch display that pairs with a secondary 6.2-inch screen on the outside. Samsung has at least spent a lot of this year’s focus on the hinge design, ultimately resulting in both sides of the screen folding a bit closer than before all while sliming down the overall thickness. We break down what else is new over in our launch day coverage at 9to5Google, as well as another launch discount below.

Woot today is stepping in to help the cause, offering one of the best chances yet to save on Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone. The previous-generation flagship may not be the brand’s latest release, but still packs quite a punch that’s only made more compelling by today’s refurbished discount. Dropping an unlocked 128GB model down to $681.99 Prime shipped, delivery will run you $6 otherwise. Today’s offer is down from its original $1,200 price tag, though you’d more regularly pay $800 at Amazon right now. That still saves you $172 while delivering the best discount to date at $158 under our previous mention from last month.

While clearly not the new S23 series model, the Galaxy S22 Ultra still arrives with much of that refreshed, yet similarly-squared off design as previous models. Making a notable appearance this time around is an S Pen slot to channel some Galaxy Note energy, as well as a 6.8-inch SuperAMOLED panel and the recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. That’s alongside 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM, and an improved 5,000mAh battery backed by 45W charging. Our launch day hands-on review details what to expect. Head below for more.

Pixel 7a lands at $449 all-time low with second-ever cash discount, Pixel 7 at $499 (Save $100)

Reg. $499+ From $449

Google’s latest budget-friendly handset just launched earlier this spring, with only a couple of discounts here and there to follow. Now marking only the second chance to actually save some cash, Amazon is now offering the unlocked Google Pixel 7a for $449 shipped when you bring home the 128GB model in one of three colors. Down from $499, you’re looking at a $50 discount that leads to a match of the all-time low set back in the beginning of May just once before. There have been a handful of gift card bundles which matched today’s value, but this is a rare chance to actually knock some cash off the MSRP.

Google’s new Pixel 7a arrives as the latest version of the brand’s attempt to repackage last year’s phones into a more affordable device. This time around, we’ve found that the PIxel 7a makes no compromises even with the more affordable price tag, delivering a 6.1-inch 1080p display backed by a 90Hz refresh rate. All of the usual Pixel niceties are making the cut, with the Tensor G2 chip powering the experience. There’s an upgraded 64 MP camera that comes backed by a 13 MP ultrawide companion, as well as a 4,385mAh battery to round out the package. We just reviewed the device over at 9to5Google, where we walked away quite impressed. Head below for more.

Bundle OnePlus 11 5G with the just-released OnePlus Pad at $940 (Save $240)

$940

Last month, OnePlus launched its first-ever tablet in the form of the OnePlus Pad, and today a rare chance to save is landing. The new OnePlus 11 5G comes bundled with the OnePlus Pad for $939.99 shipped when both are added to your cart. This is down from the usual $1,180 combined value, too, and delivering a new all-time low.

Everything with the new OnePlus 11 comes centered around the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that on top of the improved performance in its own right, also features integrated AI processes to improve background app usage and improved multitasking.
