Today, Bose announced a series of new audio products and software enhancements to its SoundTouch Wi-Fi music line. Not only are we getting hardware in the form of new one-piece and home theater/stereo systems, but also enhanced app and music service support.
The previously European-only Deezer music service made its way to the Sonos platform last month, and now it will be joining Spotify, iHeartRadio, and Pandora on Bose systems. The Bose mobile app updates come in the way of simplified mobile set-ups, enhanced song search and customizable frequency control among other things.
Head below for more details on the new app integration and what Bose calls “the most comprehensive Wi-Fi music system line available” with as many as 10 new SoundTouch Wi-Fi music systems:
Today, Bose unveiled the SoundLink Color for only $129.95, making it the least expensive portable Bluetooth speaker ever from Bose.
It weighs just 1.25 pounds, and measures 5” wide, 2.1” deep and 5.3” high to fit easily into a handbag, knapsack or the palm of your hand. Bose combined exclusive dual-opposing passive radiators with two high-efficiency transducers for full-range sound, including deep, low-note performance. With its size and performance, the SoundLink Color speaker is a small wonder, making out-loud listening undeniably portable, powerful and fun.
Bose also introduced the SoundLink On-Ear for $249.95. It’s the first on-ear Bluetooth headphone from the company.
The SoundLink on-ear Bluetooth headphones deliver all the audio performance of a Bose wired headphone. Bose Active Equalization and TriPort technology combine for smoother, more balanced sound. Mid-high frequencies are natural, and low-frequencies are detailed and full. Yet, there are no cords or cables, so you can take calls, or enjoy a video, movie or music freely. The headphones let you hear and be heard, wherever you are. A new two-microphone system rejects distractions like wind, so callers can hear what you’re saying more, and the sounds around you less.
The Soundlink Headphones are on sale today and the speaker begins shipping September 25th.
