Today’s best game deals: Zelda Link’s Awakening $40, Armored Core VI $42, more

After going out of stock, Walmart is now once again offering physical copies of Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Nintendo Switch for $39.99 shipped. Regularly $60, and now slightly undercutting the $43 sale price at Best Buy, you can land a copy at $20 off the going rate. This is within $2 of our previous mention and a couple bucks under the digital price we tracked at Amazon last month – it is currently out of stock there. This is a ground-up remake of the retro Game Boy title, complete with vibrant diorama-style graphics and all of the dungeon-diving exploration that made the original such a classic. “As Link, you awaken in a strange land away from Hyrule, where animals talk and monsters roam. To uncover the truth behind your whereabouts and rouse the legendary Wind Fish, explore Koholint Island and all its trap-ridden dungeons.” Head below for more of today’s best console game deals.

Nintendo Switch console cases from $10: HORI Pikmin, Kirby, Zelda, more up to 50% off

We are now tracking some notable deals on officially licensed Nintendo Switch cases starting with the HORI Premium Pikmin 4 Vault model at $12.99. Shipping is free for Prime members or in orders over $25. Regularly $25, this is 48% off the going rate and the lowest price we can find. Today’s deal also comes in at $7 under our previous mention to deliver a new Amazon all-time low. This model launched just ahead of the release of Pikmin 4 on Nintendo Switch (here’s our hands-on review) with a slightly more premium build and design than your average Switch cover. You’ll find a 3D embossed detailing that brings Oatchi and friends to life on the front side while providing a safe abode for Switch, Switch Lite, or the OLED model on the inside. There’s also space for up to 10 game cards and a host of small accessories. Get closer look in our launch coverage and then head below for more.

Score a new OLED Switch console today for $350 with a bonus $50 gift card

Update: If you’re not interested in the $50 Dell credit below, Best Buy is now offering Nintendo Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Switch OLED Model Consoles for $314.99 shipped. Regularly $350, this is $35 in savings on units that “are thoroughly, painstakingly and lovingly tested, so you can be sure that your device will work right, right away.”

Dell is now offering the black and white OLED Switch console for $349.99 shipped with a $50 Dell gift card. This model regularly goes for $350 at Amazon and Best Buy, but with the added value of the gift card you’re looking at the lowest price we can find with an effective $50 in savings. We did see a very similar offer from Dell ahead of Black Friday last year with a $75 gift card as well as some straight up cash discounts from retailers like Woot and Monoprice, but today’s offer marks the best value on the OLED model since the holidays last year. While there are rumors of a new Switch on the horizon, that has been the case for yers now and, even if we do see the announcement of a new machine from the brand, it almost certainly won’t go on sale anytime this year. Head below for more details.

Did a CES 2024 press release just accidentally reveal a September release date for Nintendo Switch 2?!

Well, as the Nintendo Switch 2 rumors continue into 2024 (let’s be honest, they aren’t going to stop until Nintendo unveils next-gen hardware), one company might have (and I stress, might have here) outed the existence of an upcoming new Nintendo console and its release window.
