LEGO Magic Maze

Today, we’re getting a first look at two upcoming LEGO gift with purchases. The upcoming LEGO Magic Maze will be debuting on October 1, and is joined by the continuation of the popular Houses of the World theme with yet another freebie coming later this fall.

LEGO’s latest gift with purchase will be arriving next month. The upcoming Magic Maze has been revealed as set number 40596 ahead of its debut on October 1. The model stacks up to 332 pieces, and is on the larger side of a GWP. It assembles a fun little marble maze that you’ll hold in your hand and tilt in order to get one of the balls all the way through.

It’s very similar to the LEGO Ideas Maze (21305) from several years ago, just with more of a handheld design. There are some neat handgrips on the side to help with that, too.

The kit itself does take on a far more vibrant design than its predecessor, with the LEGO Magic Maze featuring different sections that each feature their own styles. There’s a little grass patch, a honey-covered corner, and some other fun areas that are very reminiscent of vibes you’d find at a mini golf course.

We know that new LEGO gift with purchase 40596 will be debuting on the first of the month, but we’re not sure how much you’ll have to spend to score it. A $150 threshold seems likely, it’s still best to wait for official confirmation before planning out your spending plans for this Sunday.

Alongside the new Magic Maze, we’re also getting a first look at the upcoming LEGO Houses of the World 4 set. This is yet another gift with purchase due out sometime this fall, although we don’t have an official date yet on when you’ll be able to score this one. Like previous installments in the Houses of the World sub theme, you’ll have to spend $250 on sets direct from LEGO in order to bring home this new model.

As for how it actually stacks up, the LEGO Houses of the World 4 set is moving over to Japan. It assembles a traditional home with some classic Japanese architecture. There’s a torii gate out in front, as well as some other classic design cues. It joins three existing kits from the theme, which are detailed below.
