Since launching back in 2008, the LEGO Ideas platform has given fans a way to turn their own creations into official kits. And while we typically see a handful of kits released from the theme each year, LEGO is making some new progress today to provide an additional avenue for creators to turn fan-made builds into official kits. Relaunching its partnership with BrickLink, the upcoming LEGO Designer Program is giving rejected Ideas projects a second chance. Head below for all of the details.

Today, LEGO is officially giving fans a first look at its latest fan-inspired Ideas creation, 123 Sesame Street. Bringing a collection of lovable and iconic characters to minifgure form for the first time, the upcoming set delivers the familiar two-story brownstone apartment building alongside over 1,300 pieces and five minifigures. After getting a first look at the upcoming Seinfeld and Home Alone kits from LEGO Ideas earlier in the month, we’re now turning our attention to the best builds still vying for official set status. This month is highlighted by a brick-built recreation of Avatar: The Last Airbender alongside a working LEGO bowling alley and impressive Lancia Delta Integrale rally car. With February just about in the books, we’ll be taking a look back at our favorite LEGO Ideas creations over the past month. To start the year, LEGO debuted two new Architecture sets amongst the rest of 2019’s first wave of releases in January. While there’s sure to be new Skyline kits and miniature models on the horizon, today we’ll be turning to Ideas to see if LEGO may find inspiration in any fan-made builds. With LEGO’s new Pop-Up Book kit rolling out over the past few weeks, we haven’t seen much on the Ideas front this month. LEGO has also been busy dominating the holiday shopping charts. The summer is slowly coming to a close and August has been one of the more noteworthy months for LEGO news this year.
