The PlayStation store closures recently announced are now being overturned. Gamers were up in arms when Sony made headlines with what appeared to be the imminent closure of its PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and PSP online storefronts. However, in a glimmer of positive news today, Sony has now taken to the official PlayStation Blog to admit that it “made the wrong decision here.” With so many gamers still making use of these stores, Sony has now decided to reverse its decision to shutdown the PlayStation Store for PS3 and PS Vita, despite going ahead with the PSP side of things. OK, folks, this is it. Sony’s next State of Play showcase event is set for today with new PlayStation games and deep dives into some titles we already know about. Today’s presentation marks the first State of Play for 2021 and is expected to feature 30 straight minutes of games. After seeing an impressive Nintendo Direct last week, it’s now Sony’s turn to give us an idea about what to expect on PlayStation over the next year or so. Just days away from the launch of PlayStation 5, a new PS5 Remote Play app has quietly popped up out of nowhere, according to reports. Not to be confused with the already available PS4 Remote Play app that allows gamers to run titles on “PC, Mac, Apple iOS, or Android devices,” this is the PS5 version. Over the last couple of days, photos showcasing usable PS5 storage have surfaced. Sony’s console is labeled as shipping with an 825GB capacity, but after all is said and done, it appears that owners will only have 667GB available to use.
